Marrs, Reproductive Endocrinologist, MD, California Fertility Partners

"My OB/GYN recommended Shelly to complement my efforts with a fertility specialist. I am so glad that Shelly was part of my journey getting pregnant. She genuinely cares about her clients and I found her to be a great source of support. She makes you feel very comfortable sharing how you are feeling -- both physically and emotionally -- and her expertise and care can really contribute to your overall well-being. My fertility specialist was very supportive of having Shelly do an acupuncture treatment before and after my embryo transfer. I will always remember that Shelly was part of that very special day." 36 y.o.

"My fertility doctor recommended Shelly to me when I decided to try IVF. He said that she had worked with many of his patients who had found that her treatments had really helped them to become pregnant. He was absolutely right! The first time I met with Shelly I could immediately tell she was very knowledgeable about the process I was about to undergo, including medications I'd be taking and all the related health concerns. She took down my full medical history and explained the factors on which she based her approach to my treatment. She always took the time to ask me about symptoms I was experiencing and thoughtfully answer all my questions. Shelly came to my doctor's office and gave me acupuncture treatments both right before and right after the embryo transfer. I am happy to say that the transfer was a success and I am now 12 weeks pregnant with my first child! I continue to see Shelly and she has adapted her treatment to my new status as a pregnant mother. I will be forever grateful to Shelly for her role in helping me to become pregnant and for her patient and thoughtful care!" 35 y.o.

"Shelly was a fixture throughout my pregnancy. She made my 10 months a time to focus on my growing baby, and not my aches and pains. There was one day that I came in with severe symphysis pubic dysfunction. This is extremely painful, and makes you feel like your hips are broken. I could barely walk in the door. After 20 minutes, and four needles in my hip, I walked out the door pain free. She has a wonderful spirit and I recommend her to every Mother and Mother to be!" 31 y.o.

"I began acupuncture with Shelly to assist my IVF cycles. My acupuncture treatments with Shelly helped a lot to relieve the emotional stress associated with infertility. It kept my body in balance throughout the process - physically and emotionally. Prior to the transfer Shelly met me at the MD's office for an acupuncture treatment and then another one following the transfer. And it worked! I am now 15 weeks pregnant and I am continuing acupuncture to help support me throughout the pregnancy. I would definitely recommend consulting Shelly to anyone having difficulty conceiving." 43 y.o.

"As someone with a lifelong fear of needles, I was a bit hesitant to try acupuncture! But I had been struggling with sciatica and circulatory problems for years, and after 18 months of trying to get pregnant--both with and without medical assistance--I called Shelly and started weekly treatments. Her compassion, patience, and humor were invaluable over the next 6 months. Not only did my sciatica calm down, I gained more energy and started to sleep better. Now I'm 4 months pregnant! I would recommend this to anyone who's interested in improving their general health." 32 y.o.

"We have been trying to conceive for over 4 years now. I started acupuncture with Shelly about 5 months ago and received treatment 2-3 times a week. We are now 15 weeks pregnant!! Yeah!!! Shelly’s compassion, support and professionalism has helped us through this difficult process. She is such a good soul, and is definitely a gifted healer. She is extremely knowledgeable and loves her craft. We believe that Shelly has been a huge part of our success and we love, love, love her!!" 44 y.o.

"I have seen acupuncture work in powerful ways both personally & professionally. As a nurse who specializes in fertility, I think acupuncture is a complimentary tool that can be used in conjunction with traditional fertility treatments to produce favorable pregnancy outcomes. During my own pregnancy, acupuncture was a godsend. It ended my headaches, helped with fatigue, sleeplessness & nausea. After each treatment I always felt completely relaxed and balanced. Shelly is an acupuncturist who is truly a master of her art." 41 y.o.

"Shelly is an expert beyond her years and completely made me feel comfortable about TCM and acupuncture. She has treated my many digestive issues that I never thought was possible with Eastern meds. I feel amazing now that Shelly has treated me over the last year, especially as a person who is very skeptical about alternative methods. Thank you Shelly for your amazing work and always being accessible and healing me!" 29 y.o.
